Before we write anything — what is the velocity at the top, and which way is positive for you?
Zero at the top. Up is positive. So I used v = v₀ + at with a = −9.8… I got 1.2 s. That feels like only the way up.
It is. 1.2 s is time to the peak. Round trip is twice that if it lands at the same height. Try this one cold:
